Shape and profile: Hestia is different from the classic tunnels – it has straight walls up to a height of 1,9 m and a rounded roof. The construction is based on a reinforced 40x20 mm profile, from which all the main elements of the greenhouse are made, including the lower metal frame. Thanks to this:

• the interior is extremely spacious and comfortable (high plants, tables, racks can be placed along the walls, and high bushes can be tied to the crossbars),
• maintains stability even in changing weather conditions.

Conditions of use: Hestia has been designed for intensive seasonal cultivation, early spring planting and use in places exposed to wind and changing weather conditions. For the most demanding gardeners and year-round applications (e.g. heated greenhouses, pool roofing) a version with 10 mm multi-chamber polycarbonate is available, with increased thermal insulation. The Hestia greenhouse also works great as a year-round pool roof.

A set of greenhouses with straight walls includes:

Polycarbonate coating – 6 mm or 10 mm?

The Hestia greenhouse is available in two coating variants:

• with 6 mm chamber polycarbonate,
• with 10 mm multi-chamber polycarbonate.

Both types of polycarbonate:

• are resistant to UV radiation,
• well tolerate typical weather conditions (rain, snow, light hail),
• allow you to create a favorable microclimate inside the greenhouse.

Chamber polycarbonate 6 mm

• Density: 0,85 kg/m²
• It provides a very good balance between thermal insulation and weight.
• Ideal for gardeners who want an extended season – from early spring to late autumn.

Easy to maintain, does not require frequent replacement like tunnel films.

Multi-chamber polycarbonate 10 mm

• Density: 1,5 kg/m²
• 6M ("spider") tubule structure – more air chambers means better thermal insulation.
• A great choice for heated greenhouses, year-round structures and pool canopies.
• Higher load resistance and better temperature stability inside.

Each polycarbonate plate from ETL has a protective film on both sides. A printed page (white foil with inscriptions) is a page with a UV protective layer that must be mounted outside.

What is polycarbonate density?

Polycarbonate density (kg/m²) means the amount of material per 1 m² plate. The higher the density:

• the heavier and more durable the plate,
• the better the insulation properties and resistance to damage.

In the greenhouse, this has a direct impact on durability, stability and temperature maintenance.

What is the difference between the structure of the discs?

The main difference is the number of chambers on the panel width. The structure of 6M channels is more effective, especially in the context of applications in greenhouses due to better thermal insulation properties.

Assembly

The construction of the Hestia greenhouse from below is based on a metal frame, which requires foundation on an even foundation. To ensure additional stability and durability of the structure, we recommend mounting the greenhouse on the foundation (from concrete blocks or spout) using angles (not included). The client executes the foundation on his own.
