Additional plate for Baby Breath Monitor - is a medical device designed for use by both qualified personnel in medical units and parents at home. The device monitors the child’s breathing during sleep, and its purpose is to signal abnormalities in the child’s breathing early enough. If the device records a decrease in breathing frequency, the device warns parents with an optical signal and a loud acoustic signal. This is to avoid the danger of respiratory arrest that can occur in young children (sudden death syndrome - SIDS). This risk applies in particular to children under one year of age who do not yet have normalised breathing, but the disease or vomiting condition of the child may also be a threat.
