Indications

PRO-VET® Hepatic complete and balanced specialized dry diet for dogs of all breeds and ages supporting liver function in chronic liver failure; also suitable for reducing the formation of cystine and gout stones.

Hepatic failure is a serious deterioration of liver function. It can occur suddenly (acute liver failure) or develop over a long period of time (chronic liver failure). The basis for the development of acute liver failure is a violation of compensatory abilities and liver function. The reason for this may be heredity, such as hereditary copper accumulation in the liver, but it can also be caused by a viral infection.

An early diagnosis of acute liver failure can be cured with appropriate treatment. In the case of chronic liver failure, you can only support the current condition of the liver to prevent or delay further deterioration of liver function, but the disease can not be cured.

PRO-VET® Hepatic is a low protein, copper and sodium diet for patients with liver failure undergoing treatment or during convalescence, and can also be used as a preventive diet to protect healthy liver function.

PRO-VET® Hepatic due to its low protein and purine content and adjusted pH level is also ideal for dogs suffering from cystine and gout stones.

Composition

Rice, young corn, poultry fat, dried beet pulp (rich in pectin), dehydrated poultry, pearl barley, corn gluten, high-quality Norwegian pure salmon oil, hydrolyzed chicken protein, dried apple, dried carob pods (gray).

With oxidation reducing substance, strong extract rich in tocopherols (vitamin E) of natural origin (from vegetable oils). PRO-VET® products meet the requirements set by AAFCO, NRC and/or FEDIAF. Manufactured and packaged in the Netherlands, production is carried out in accordance with the certification: NEN ISO 9001 / GMP+.
