Shimano Aero BB is an affordable reel, dedicated to feeder, method feeder and match techniques, offering some of the best technological solutions Shimano, guaranteeing high durability and reliability in every situation. When designing this particular model, we wanted it to have the right power and durability, while maintaining the price as user-friendly as possible. So we focused on our proven solutions, known from other models of spinning and carp reels. Then, in consultation with the best competitive anglers from Europe, we refined it in terms of the utility side, placing in it what is necessary for a pleasant and trouble-free fishing with a bait basket or distance method. In this way, inside the Aero BB reel there is our proven, cold-forged from one piece of metal, HAGANE transmission characterized by resistance to large overloads. Since the metal structure does not change much in the cold forging process, the density of the HAGANE transmission is much higher than that of standard die-cast transmissions, resulting in slower wear. However, the transmission itself is not everything when many smaller components are responsible for driving the mechanism. That’s why we’ve included our reliable X-SHIP drive system in the Aero BB reel, using additional bearings for bilateral stabilization of drive mechanisms. This patented system ensures that the reel generates more reeling power and does not jam under load. The Aero BB reel housing is made of strong, patented XT-7 graphite material in G-Free Body technology, moving the center of gravity of the structure towards the angler's hand. Thanks to it, the reel seems lighter than it really is, and at the same time it balances modern rods better. Not without significance is also the aluminum crank screwed directly into the transmission, which eliminates unpleasant "looseness" appearing in the case of a standard crank without a thread. The set includes one aluminum spool, with an aerodynamic AR-C rim, made in cold forging technology and equipped with a large, round metal clip. A spool capacity reducer is also included, allowing you to use thinner lines or braid without the need for a primer.
