Reishi (ganoderma or yellowish lacquer) is one of the most popular Chinese mushrooms. In Traditional Chinese Medicine has been used for millennia for its vitalizing effects and to regenerate and strengthen resistance to diseases. It is also the most commonly used Chinese mushroom for coughing and shortness of breath. It also has an adaptogenic effect.

Our Reishi is grown on organic substrate. The basis of this substrate is oak massif. Part of the mushroom we use is a fruiting body.

Reishi (Yellowish lacquer, Ganoderma lucidum) belongs to the sailfish fungi that break down wood. We can find it mainly on dead trees or trunks. Its fruiting bodies are semicircular and have a diameter of 6-12 cm. They are specific because of their shiny layer, from which their name derives.

Reishi (Ganoderma) comes from Asia, where it is also called the “divine mushroom of immortality”. It is an important part of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which has been used for over 4000 years. The mention of Reishi (Ganoderma) can also be found in the basic work of Chinese medicine, in the Inner Canon of the Yellow Emperor. It was so rare that it was intended only for the emperor and his family. It was used not only in Chinese medicine, but also as a strong talisman for luck and protection against evil. Monks in Taoist monasteries used Reishi (Ganoderma) before meditation because of its ability to soothe Shen’s soul. Due to its ability to regenerate the body's functions and activate it, it is also used by Russian astronauts and Sherpas living at high altitudes in the Himalayas.

Reishi strengthens the body's immunity and contributes to maintaining the proper functioning of the circulatory system. At the same time, it naturally helps in lowering cholesterol levels. Reishi contains many bioactive substances, which makes it unique. In our production we use 6-9-month-old fruiting bodies. At this age, the concentration of active substances is highest. In older mushrooms, the concentration of active substances gradually decreases and their action is no longer as effective.
