1. What is the difference between the Cobra® ES version and the classic Cobra® 180 mm version?

The ES (Extra Slim) version has a much slimmer head and elongated, convergent (pointed) jaws. The classic Cobra 180 mm has a shorter and thicker head, which allows you to carry slightly larger loads, but limits maneuverability in tight spaces.

2. Will the teeth of the pliers not be destroyed when gripping hard screws?

No. The gripping teeth of the KNIPEX Cobra® ES pliers are separately inductively hardened to a hardness of approx. 61 HRC. This means that they are much harder than standard bolts or nuts (even those in class 8.8 or 10.9), which ensures long-term abrasion resistance.
