Description
The MAGNUM MIG MMA 170 W IGBT series is a professional semi-automatic welding machine designed for manual, electric welding of low carbon steel, low alloy steel (MAG), alloy steel (MIG) and aluminum and its alloys. The device can also be welded using MMA method using hot melt coated electrodes.
The device has a large comfortable handle that makes it easy to carry, and its light weight just over 12 kg and the ability to mount a trolley with wheels improves field work. The welding machine uses a clear digital display that allows you to set basic parameters. In the control panel we can adjust the welding current value (max. 160 A), inductance and wire feed speed. The high efficiency of the device at 60% allows for efficient uninterrupted operation, in 10-minute cycles for 6 minutes of constant welding. Current regulation in the range of 30 - 160 A. The device is equipped with a 2-roll feeder for 5 kg wire. The diameter of the wire which can be used is 0,6 to 0,8 mm.
The power source was built on IGBT transistors providing a minimum of electromagnetic interference, enabling increased efficiency and reliability of the power source, lower energy consumption, and rapid adjustment of the current to changes in parameters during welding.
An additional solution extending the life of the machine is an overload switch, activated in the event of overheating of the welding machine. The device is mounted on a transport trolley, on which we can place a gas cylinder.
