The Sherman DIGIMIG 200 SYNERGIC welding machine is an inverter semi-automatic welding machine designed for welding by:

  • MIG/MAG - arc hot melt electrode in the shield of inert or active gases
  • MMA - welding with wrapped electrodes
  • TIG LIFT - welding with a special handle with a valve, arcing is then carried out by lightly rubbing the non-melting electrode against the welded material.

ADVANTAGES AND FUNCTIONS OF THE WELDING MACHINE:

⭐INDUCTANCE - optimizes the characteristics of the arc depending on the thickness of the material being welded. This function is useful when welding thin elements using the MIG/MAG method - it prevents them from burning out (the thinner the inductance element should be greater). Inductance affects the shape of the weld, its width, depth of melting and the number of splashes.

⭐ SOLDERING - is a method that resembles MIG/MAG welding to a large extent, but the energy supplied in this case is much less. This means that soldering is used to join thin sheets covered with a layer of zinc. The described method is a bonding process during which solder melts, not the material with which we work.

⭐ EUROCONNECTOR - allows you to quickly change the handle and allows you to change the polarity for welding with self-shielding wire.

SPOOL GUN CONNECTOR - allows you to connect a special handle with space for an additional spool with wire.

ANTI STICK - anti-short-circuit function - reduces the welding current to a minimum value when the welder makes a mistake and the electrode is glued to the welded material. This makes it easier to detach the electrode from the welded material and protects the electrode holder from damage.

✅GAZ TEST – a function that allows you to switch on the solenoid valve itself without switching on the power source and wire feeder (this function is used to determine the value of the shielding gas flow and check the patency of the gas circuit.

VRD - is a voltage reduction system whose task is to turn off the power supply within a few milliseconds after finishing welding. This function is also responsible for reducing the voltage on the wrapped electrode to a safe level

WIRE BURNING FUNCTION - BURN BACK - It is possible to regulate the time, through which the voltage at the output of the device still occurs after stopping the wire feeding. This function prevents the welding wire from getting stuck in the workpiece and prepares the end of the wire for the next arc strike. Higher values of the pow function

✅MEMORY SETTINGS - The device has a memory of the last settings, i.e. When disabled and re-enabled, the last set parameters are restored. In order for the settings to be remembered, do not change any of the parameters for at least a minute.

The welder is equipped with a professional wire feeder, which guarantees stability and continuity of operation of the device

The 2-roll feeder allows precise extension of the welding wire excluding its slippage.

On the display there is a button (INCHING) EXTEND WIRE, Pressing the button causes a quick ejection of the electrode wire. It can be used when putting on a spool with wire in order to quickly introduce it into the welding torch. .

Inductance adjustment allows optimization of arc characteristics depending on the thickness of the welded element and the welding method and conditions.

The function is useful during MIG/MAG welding of thin elements, preventing them from burning out and soldering galvanized elements.

The thinner the MIG/MAG welded element, the higher the inductance (soft arc - less melting), for thick elements vice versa (hard arch - greater melting).

The standard neutral inductance setting is in the middle of the scale.

Changing the inductance value also reduces the amount of welding chips during CO2 shielded welding.

The optimal setting of the inductance value depends on several factors and may differ from the standard recommendations, it should be selected during welding tests by manipulating the potentiometer knob.

Migomat company SHERMAN is a device with a wide range of applications, designed as an inverter power source enabling welding with hot melt wire in a gas shield MIG/MAG or FCAW self-shielding wire (after changing polarity), welding with a buffer electrode MMA, as well as the TIG Lift method.

✔ MIG/MAG welding

Arc welding in gas shields is one of the most commonly used processes for the manufacture of welded structures. The semi-automatic welding process involves melting the edges of the welded object and the material of the hot melt electrode with the heat of an electric arc glowing between the electrode in the form of a solid wire and the welded detail, in an inert or active gas shield.

Welding MMA

In the MMA method, a wrapped electrode is used, consisting of a metal core covered with a sheath. An electric arc is produced between the end of the electrode and the welded material. Arching is created by touching the end of the electrode to the welded material.

Welding TIG DC

In the TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) method, the electric arc is ignitioned in an inert gas (argon) shield between the welded element and the non-melting electrode, made of pure tungsten or tungsten with additives. In TIG DC Lift mode, the arc glow occurs when the electrode comes into contact with the welded element. In TIG DC mode, the current is constant.

Thanks to the polarity change function, it is possible to weld without shielding gas, with FCAW self-shielding wire. The wire is designed for general production work, also in field conditions, and for welding structures that are not subject to impact requirements. Welding current DC(-).

Self-shielding powder wire fi 0,8mm/1kg E71T-GS is designed for welding ordinary carbon steels and increased strength not exceeding 510 MPa.
