Siltac EC is a completely innovative solution for effective fight against many harmful insects and mites feeding on crops. The preparation does not contain active substances of traditional chemical pesticides, which makes plant protection much safer.

The composition of the preparation is based on silicone polymers. After dilution in water and spraying, these compounds very quickly and exactly blur on the plant and on foraging pests. Then they form a specific structure – a polymeric, molecular spatial network strongly absorbing on the surface of the body of insects / mites. The resulting structure causes the cessation of mechanical life processes in pests (immobilization, incapacitation), which leads to their extinction. The mechanism of action of the preparation on harmful insects and mites is typically physical and is based on unique 3D-ISN (Three-dimensional Immobilizing Silicone Net) technology developed in Polish laboratories. The described method of physical impact proved to be very effective in eliminating especially the so-called. small pests, e.g. aphid, spring, bowl, etc. It was also found that significant treatments limit the population size: greenhouse whitefly, honeybees, thrips.

The results of scientific research have been repeatedly confirmed by practitioners. The above facts indicate the high value of the measure as an alternative or complement to traditional strategies for combating many troublesome pests. In addition, Siltac EC does not have a withdrawal period, because it does not contain any chemical active substances of pesticides.

Siltac EC as a new generation agent is designed to eliminate or limit the population of harmful insects and mites feeding in the following crops: fruit trees and shrubs, ornamental plants, vegetables, cereals.

The preparation is used in programs of combating: aphids, spider mites, bowlers, greenhouse whitefly, thrips, honeybees.

METHOD OF USE

Siltac EC is used in the form of spraying plants after dilution in water and should be used when the first pest colonies appear. If necessary, repeat the procedure after about 5 to 7 days or later when the next colonies appear. Due to the specificity of the preparation, the treatment should be performed carefully, covering all places where pests feed with usable liquid. For spider mites, it is important to spray the upper and lower sides of the leaves.

Due to the excellent blurring properties of the usable liquid on the surface of the plant, there is no need to use larger than the recommended amounts of water per hectare. The measure works only interventionally – on foraging pests. It has virtually no preventive properties. For this reason, the preparation is not used prophylactically, i.e. before the appearance of pests. The preparation does not cause the selection of breeds of resistant pests due to the physical mechanism of action. It can be used every year, many times a season without fear of declining effectiveness.

Due to the specificity of the mechanism of action and the lack of active substances of chemical plant protection products, the use of Siltac EC is classified into physical, non-chemical methods of pest control. The preparation is not subject to the provisions of Regulation EC 1107/2009 provided for traditional chemical plant protection products.
