The high-performance optical motor of the VMZ82 series provides brightness up to 8 000lm, providing clear, sharp and vivid images in well-lit rooms. Increase the comfort of viewers and the quality of communication during meetings and classes without dimming the lights or pulling the blinds.

Dynamic contrast adds depth, clarity and realism

Dynamic contrast reaches a contrast ratio of 3 000 000:1 1, adjusting the luminous flux to the requirements of each scene. It analyzes the signal frame by frame to ensure smooth transitions between scenes while sharply defining the differences between light and dark. The result is deeper blacks, brighter whites, and vibrant colors that enhance every detail, even in shaded areas.

Optimized visualizations for your space

Daylight View Basic uses a sensor to measure the ambient light level in a room and adjusts focus, halftone color, contrast and brightness to optimize image visibility regardless of room lighting. The result is a clearer, more detailed image, even in challenging environments.

WUXGA LCD panels (1920 x 1200) improve detail resolution for a more comfortable and insightful experience. The edges of the text are smooth, sharp, and easy to read, even for those sitting furthest from the screen.

Supports widescreen video content

Display widescreen content, such as 21:9 video conferencing chips, in its original proportions. The faces of remote participants can be aligned at eye level with the participants in the room, which improves communication and engagement during meetings or classes.

Silent work during hybrid lessons and meetings

The projector's heat-resistant light source reduces noise during operation, increasing the clarity of conversations during lessons and stationary or hybrid meetings. In Quiet 2 mode, the noise during operation is only 25 dB¹ — it is about as quiet as the rustle of leaves.

Stress-free installation flexibility

Simplified installation thanks to 1,6x zoom and lens offset

Maximize the screen area in rooms of any shape and size. The VMZ82 series can project a 100-inch image from a distance of 2,35 m (7,54 ft) and provides bright, vivid images on screens up to 300 inches. Its 1,6x optical zoom (projection ratio: 1,09 to 1,77:1) provides mounting flexibility, making it easier to work with ceiling obstacles or adjust the image to the screen from an existing mount. Combined with lens offset (V: 0%, 44%; H: ±20%), it supports off-axis and high mounting positions while maintaining accurate image geometry.

Digital Zoom Extender: Freedom for every layout

Digital Zoom Extender and Digital Image Shift features are useful when the desired mounting position is too far from the screen or placement on the axis is impractical. Digital Image Shift technology supports 10% image shift in any direction, allowing off-axis or high ceiling mounting. The Digital Zoom Extender allows you to maintain the projector’s previous mounting position by extending the casting distance beyond the optical zoom range, potentially saving on construction work.

Some screen correction features are not available when using this feature, and the range of corner adjustments is limited. Using the existing projector mounting position may not be possible in every situation.

Quickly find the projection angle with the angle monitor

Adjusting the projection angle to simulate a project can be difficult and usually requires two people. The VMZ82 series is equipped with a built-in gyroscopic sensor that detects changes in projector angles and tilts that are displayed graphically in the OSD settings menu. Installers can adjust the projection angle without the need for assistance.

They serve only as a reference and their accuracy is not guaranteed.

Correction of localized distortions by mesh adjustment

Grid Adjustment offers precise correction of localized distortions on the screen caused by obstacles using a remote control. Users can choose different grid resolutions to allow point-by-point or line batch adjustments. Corrective data is saved when grid or point numbers are changed, in order to smoothly move from basic to detailed settings.

Intuitive 6-point screen adjustment system

The VMZ82 series is equipped with a 6-point screen adjustment that allows you to remove trapezoidal distortion during angle projection using the trapezoidal correction function of 4 corners and H/V. Additional checkpoints at the top and bottom of the screen can be used to remove distortion during corner projection.

Built-in geometric adjustment package

Geometric correction includes basic tools for correcting image distortion when projecting at an angle or onto curved and irregular surfaces. Supports spherical, cylindrical and complex screen shapes without a connected computer. Features such as Keep Proportions and Independent Corner Adjustment simplify the correction process. Additionally, users can save and reapply adjustment settings, making it easier to manage patches and track progress.

Single-cable 4K Digital Link solution

4K DIGITAL LINK is a connection based on HDBaseT™ standard that supports long-distance transmission of video, audio and control signal with a single LAN CAT 5e, reducing installation complexity in schools, offices and entertainment spaces.

Accepts 4K signals via HDMI™ and DIGITAL LINK

The VMZ82 series accepts 4K1 video signals via DIGITAL LINK and HDMI™ connectors, simplifying projector integration into existing infrastructure. This feature enables 4K1 signal transmission to display endpoints with different screen resolutions, eliminating the need for external converters or re-encoding content.

Supports next-generation control protocols

The dedicated LAN terminal and DIGITAL LINK connections support the latest protocols including IPv6, Art-Net DMX, PJLink™ (Class 2), Crestron Connected® V2, Crestron® XiO Cloud and Extron XTP®. The projector also includes an emulation feature to ensure compatibility with older management software.

Data cloning function via LAN or USB

Adjusting the same settings in each projector in your fleet can be time-consuming. To speed up this task, the VMZ82 series is equipped with a data cloning feature that allows you to copy the settings of the main projector, including saved adjustment data, to sub-projectors via LAN or USB device.

Does not include passwords, projector name/identifier, time, date, time zone and network settings. Data can be copied up to a maximum of 99 subprojectors over LAN.

Instant start with Quick On

Start classes or meetings immediately, without delays that may lose the attention of the group. Unlike tube projectors that take time to warm up, the VMZ82 series can display content from fast start mode in about one second1. It also has a direct shutdown function, so the projector can be turned off at any time using the room switch without the risk of damage.

Effortless automation with built-in scheduling

The VMZ82 series introduces a new scheduling feature that can be accessed through the OSD settings menu. The projector can be programmed to perform automated tasks, including power on/off, shutter activation, and input selection, at specific times of the week.

HDMI™ compliant with CEC Command makes life easier

Both HDMI™ inputs of the projector are CEC1 compliant, allowing fewer remote controls to be used. The projector will automatically turn on, play content, and turn off when it detects these commands from a compatible source device.

Display projections wirelessly from your smartphone or laptop

Share content wirelessly1 from your laptop or smartphone. Simply scan the QR code shown in the on-screen menu using your smartphone’s camera, and the device will automatically connect to the projector over a wireless LAN, without having to enter your SSID or passwords.

Effortless sharing with PressIT

Share your device’s screen wirelessly and switch presenters freely. PressIT, the optional wireless presentation system from Panasonic, supports screen sharing at the touch of a button. PressIT consists of transmitters connected to your devices1 and a receiver connected to the projector. To keep your installation organized, the power supply is provided via the projector's USB DC 5V/2A port.

Auto-on function reduces energy loss

Panasonic laser projectors can go into fast start sleep mode after some time without an input signal, allowing you to resume playback in about one second. However, if no signal is detected before the startup time expires, the projector will turn off and must be turned back on manually. The VMZ82 series solves this problem with automatic switching on. This feature automatically turns on the projector and resumes playback when an input signal is detected, even when the projector is turned off, minimizing interruptions and saving energy.

Works with Multi Monitoring & Control software
