The WN 500 is used to apply controlled pressure to the inertial brake control mechanism of trailers weighing up to 3,5 t with ball couplings of diameter 50 mm during technical condition tests, repairs and adjustment of trailer brakes and their control mechanisms.

The WN 500 is recommended for use in vehicle inspection stations during trailer tests before they are put into service and periodic technical inspections.

The WN 500 is a two-arm lever attached to the fixed part of the drawbar of the trailer by means of a belt terminated with a hook. The end of the lever is hooked behind the base of the hitch ball of the car to which the trailer is attached, allowing the test operator to interact with the brake control mechanism. The device is equipped with an electronic force meter applied to the ball hitch – a component operating along the drawbar axis. Adjusting the length of the drawbar to various design solutions is achieved by means of a tensioner with a ratchet mechanism.
