Purpose and function
The industrial USB 3.0 hub enables the expansion of available USB ports in control devices, terminals and automation systems, allowing for simultaneous connection of up to seven Type-A devices and communication with the host via the Type-B connector.
Interfaces and performance
The device operates in accordance with USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.1 Gen 1), providing actual transmission bandwidth of up to 5000 Mbit/s between the host and connected devices. Dedicated Type-A ports allow you to connect high-speed media and peripherals without degrading data transfer.
Power supply and installation
The hub is powered by direct current (DC) in the 9 to 40 V voltage range, making it suitable for industrial applications with a variety of power sources. The 80 x 158 x 32 mm enclosure is made of metal and the included mounting brackets make it easy to permanently attach to cabinets and mounting panels.
ESD design and protection
The metal housing provides mechanical protection for internal components and facilitates passive cooling, while the 15 kV ESD surge protection increases the resistance to electrostatic discharge typical of industrial environments. USB cables and connectors allow quick connection without additional adapters.
