⭐ How to choose the right MUZZLE? ⭐

➡ Step 1: Measure the muzzle circumference (the widest muzzle circumference)

What is it? This is the circumference of the dog’s head at the height of the nostrils, i.e. at the widest point of the mouth – when the dog has a closed mouth.

How to measure:

1. Comfort and calm the dog – let him sit or stand still.
2. Wrap the measuring tape around your mouth, just behind your nostrils, covering the top and bottom of your mouth (full circumference).
3. Make sure the tape adheres but doesn’t squeeze into your skin – don’t squeeze!
4. Make a note of the result in centimeters.
5. IMPORTANT: In order for the dog to be able to open its mouth freely (for breathing, panting, drinking), add 2 to 5 cm

   ➤ to the received circumference. This will be your “ muzzle circumference to muzzle”.

➡ Step 2: Measure the length of the mouth

What is it? The distance from the end of the nose to the point where the muzzle goes into the skull (that is, to the place where the eyes/cheekbones begin).

How to measure:

1. Keep the dog still.
2. Apply a ruler or tape along the top of your mouth – from the most protruding point of your nose to your eye line/cheekbones.
3. Don’t measure your whole head – just your mouth!
4. Make a note of the result in centimeters.
5. IMPORTANT: To this length, add 1 to 2 cm so that the muzzle does not compress the nose and does not interfere with breathing.

   ➤ This will be the “length of the muzzle mouth”.

➡ Step 3: Choose a muzzle

1. Look at the size charts – it gives:

   The circumference of the muzzle (number 2)

2. Adjust your measurements to size.
3. If your dog fits between two sizes, it is better to choose a larger one – the muzzle may be a bit looser, but it can not compress.
