Lancome is an international company in the cosmetics industry, which dates back to 1935. Its founder was Armand Petitjean, inspired by Lancôme Castle. Many rose bushes grew there, hence the company's symbol reminiscent of this beautiful flower. The first Lancome perfume was launched in 1935 during the World Exhibition in Brussels. They were: Tendre Nuit, Bocages, Conquete, Kypre and Tropiques. Lancome started its activity on the American market in the 1950s. Since 1982, Italian actress Isabella Rossellini has been chosen by Lancome as the exclusive model to advertise their products. Currently, Lancome preparations and perfumes are the best-selling products in their categories.
