A daily hydration supplement for cats that helps promote fluid intake by cats - this complementary cat food is a tasty sauce that has been proven to increase fluid intake by cats and dilute urine. It is a water-based solution containing osmolites (amino acids from whey protein and glycerol), which support the absorption of water. The chicken-flavored Hydra Care sachet has 16 kcal.

Why did the weight of the sachet change from 85g to 75g?

The amount of product in the sachet has been adjusted to better reflect the amount of intake recommended

due to the benefits of increasing hydration and dilution of urine.

Consumption of 36 ml/kg body weight/day would mean 144 ml/day for an average cat weighing 4 kg.

Two 75 g sachets (= 150 g) deliver this amount of product with greater accuracy.

If the intended benefit is only hydration, the minimum required intake is 25 ml/kg

body weight/day and a 75 g sachet would be sufficient for a 3 kg cat.
