Eicosapentaenoic acids (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acids (DHA) are crucial for the proper functioning of the whole organism. On a vegan diet, you cannot get enough EPA and DHA from food products

Products such as flaxseed, chia seeds, walnuts or hemp seeds contain the fraction ALA (alpha-linolenic acid), which must then be converted to the fraction EPA and DHA.
