What’s more, such a radio is an essential element of any backpack – both tourist and evacuation.

The ER10 model has a dual-band analogue radio tuner that receives programs broadcast in the FM and AM bands. The FM frequency reception range is 87,5 – 108,0 MHz, and the AM range is 522 – 1620 KHz. The range can be switched using the sliding switch available on the front panel, while the station can be tuned using a handy and precisely scaled knob, also available in the front of the device. The current frequency can be checked on a scale also mounted on the main panel.

In order to ensure the best possible reception of the radio signal, a telescopic rotary antenna has been built in, which can be easily extended and rotated in any direction.

Radio ER10GC SURVIVAL has the ability to emit a loud SOS alarm signal. This functionality may apply when a user gets lost in the forest and needs help. The volume level of the SOS alarm signal emitted is 110 dB. This is a really loud signal that will help you find a lost person and definitely make the job easier for the right emergency services.

This radio also has a built-in flashlight with three lighting modes. The first mode allows spot illumination, and the beam of light has a longer range. The second mode offers a more diffused light, with a wider, but slightly shorter range than the first mode. The third mode is a combination of spot lighting with diffused lighting, so you can get the best effect.

In addition to the flashlight, there is also a reading lamp built into the solar panel. It has twelve brightly lit LEDs and starts automatically when the solar panel is raised.

The ER10 is powered by a built-in 2000 mAh lithium-ion battery and has a triple charging system. In the back of the case, under the silicone cap, a standard charging socket is available using a USB-C cable. A suitable cable is included, which can be connected, e.g. for any smartphone charger or any other power source that offers a charging current of 5V and 1A. Full charge can be obtained after about 4 – 5 hours

In emergency situations where there is no access to mains power, you can use another two charging options – through a 68×26 mm solar panel, which is built in the upper part of the housing or using a built-in crank generator.

When charging via solar panel, full charging can be achieved after about 60 hours of radio exposure in full sun. However, remember not to allow the battery to completely discharge beforehand.
