The calibration certificate is a document issued free of charge during the meter's production. It confirms the metrological properties (calibration) and measurement traceability. The certificate includes a dotted field: "Date of commissioning." This field is for the user to enter the purchase date. The entered purchase date can be used to determine the next calibration date based on the manufacturer's recommendation: Next calibration is recommended within 12 months of the purchase date, but no later than 24 months from the production or inspection date. Subsequent metrological checks are performed by the Sonel S.A. Research and Calibration Laboratory, and the issued document is called a Calibration Certificate.
