The legendary brand

On 15 March 1921, the company “Società Anonima Moto Guzzi” was established in the office of notary Paolo Cassanello at Corso Aurelio Saffi in Genoa. The company's first motorcycle was the legendary 8-horsepower Normale. In the meantime, the brand has also achieved numerous racing successes. The first took place at the prestigious Targa Florio event in 1921, which marked the beginning of an impressive series of victories. In the late 60s, the company presented a two-cylinder 90°V engine, which became its symbol. On 30 December 2004 Moto Guzzi became part of the Piaggio Group. 2007 was the year of the Giornate Mondiali Moto Guzzi event, whose even more exclusive character was given by the performance of cinema star Ewan McGregor. The actor came to Mandello del Lario to pick up his white California Vintage, which he had bought a few months earlier while filming scenes for his long way down adventure TV series at the Guzzi factory. In 2021, the brand celebrated its centenary.
