Monitoring PoE usage

By monitoring PoE usage, it can show the PoE load of each port, total PoE power consumption and system state, such as overload, low voltage, over voltage and high temperature. The user can directly get detailed information about the real-time PoE working status of VR-300P.

PoE Schedule

In line with the trend of saving energy around the world and contributing to environmental protection, VR-300P can effectively control the power supply in addition to the ability to deliver high power. The “PoE Schedule” feature helps you turn PoE power on or off for each PoE port at specific intervals and is a powerful feature that helps small and medium-sized businesses or enterprises save energy and budget. VR-300P allows you to restart any of your connected PoE IP cameras or PoE wireless access points at a specific time each week. Therefore, it will reduce the risk of IP camera or access point failure as a result of buffer overflow.

Control of PD activity

The VR-300P can be configured to monitor the status of connected partial discharges in real time using a ping action. When the PD stops working and reacting, the VR-300P will resume powering the PoE port and bring the PD back to work. It will significantly improve network reliability with a PoE port that resets the PD power source and reduces the administrator load.

The VR-300P also provides a built-in AP controller, Captive Portal, RADIUS and DHCP server to make it easier for small and medium-sized businesses to deploy secure access services for employees and guests without an additional server. The VR-300P provides centralized management of the PLANET Smart AP series via a user-friendly web-based graphical interface. Setting up APs for wireless SSID, radio bandwidth, and security settings is easy. With a four-step setup process, different wireless profile targets can be simultaneously delivered to multiple access points or access point groups to minimize deployment time, effort and cost.

For example, to configure multiple smart access points of the same model, the VR-300P allows them to be clustered into a managed group for unified management. According to the requirements, wireless access points can be flexibly expanded or removed from the group of wireless access points at any time. An AP cluster benefits from mass provisioning and bulk firmware upgrades through a single entry point, rather than having to configure settings in each one separately.

VR-300P provides complete data security and privacy for accessing and exchanging the most sensitive data, built-in IPSec VPN with DES/3DES/AES encryption and MD5/SHA-1/SHA-256/SHA-384/SHA-512 authentication, and GRE, SSL, PPTP and L2TP server mechanism. The full VPN functionality of the VR-300P makes the connection secure, more flexible and more efficient.

Built-in VR-300P SPI (stateful package Inspection) firewall and DoS/DDoS attack prevention features ensure high performance and extensive protection of your network. Virtual Server and DMZ features allow you to configure servers on the intranet and provide services to Internet users.
