BSS coloring increases connection efficiency

Wi-Fi 6 includes a new feature called BSS Coloring that improves Wi-Fi connection performance even in crowded places. When two adjacent routers send traffic on the same channel, the router must wait until the channel is free. With BSS Coloring, the Wi-Fi 6 router identifies its data using a unique channel marker (“color”) that is different from neighboring networks. The Wi-Fi 6 router can then ignore signals of a different color on the channel and send data immediately. This significantly reduces the waiting time of the router and increases network performance.
