Essensey Nutrition Glucosamine Chondroitin & MSM is a dietary supplement in the form of tablets containing glucosamine sulfate, chondroitin sulfate and methylsulfonylmethane (MSM).

Glucosamine sulfate

Glucosamine is an amino sugar produced in the human body based on sugar and one of the amino acids – glutamine. Glucosamine sulfate is a precursor to the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans, which – in addition to collagen – are a key component of cartilage tissue, tendons and ligaments. It follows that glucosamine may be helpful in the restoration of cartilage. It is also an important component of collagen, which affects the binding of cells and elasticity of connective tissue in cartilage and tendons.

For 2 capsules:

• Glucosamine sulphate 2 KCl: 500 mg

  including D-Glucosamine: 295 mg

• Chondroitin sulfate: 500 mg
• Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM): 300 mg

Ingredients: 31 % glucosamine sulfate 2 KCl, 31 % chondroitin sulfate, 19 % methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), capsule shell [glazing substance (hydroxypropylcellulose)], anti-caking agent (magnesium salts of fatty acids).

The product may contain: milk, soy, cereals containing gluten, fish and peanuts.

Usage: Take 2 capsules 2 times a day with a sufficient amount of water, preferably 30 minutes before a meal. The portion of the product recommended for consumption during the day is 4 capsules. Do not exceed the recommended portion for consumption during the day.

Warnings: Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients of the product. The product cannot be used as a substitute for a varied diet. The preparation is not intended for children, pregnant and lactating women. A balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle are important.

chondroitin sulfate is a glycosaminoglycan, a mucopolysaccharide. It is a component of articular cartilage, which affects the mobility and flexibility of our joints. It acts as the main component of a complex extracellular matrix, stimulates the synthesis of its macromolecules. Pierre Mathieu’s study published in 2002 showed a beneficial effect of chondroitin sulfate for joints – they were not degraded compared to the control group, where it remained at the level of 5%.

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM)

MSM is a naturally occurring organic sulfur compound with wide biological activity. It is a substance that continues to be a field for researchers to show off. It is usually used in combination with glucosamine and chondroitin, because it is somehow a supplement to them. Available scientific studies, including the van der Merwe and Bloomer study published in 2016 in the Journal of Sports Medicine, report that MSM has an effect on reducing the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines (i.e. initiating inflammatory reactions) and can relieve markers of oxidative stress and support muscles after intense exercise.
