Dietary supplement with a high content of magnesium obtained from crystal clear waters of the Northern Atlantic, near the coast of Iceland. Magnesium is necessary for the proper functioning of the body, good digestion and absorption of food, supports correct muscle function and the nervous system. It helps to absorb lime, vitamin C, phosphorus, sodium and potassium.

Magnesium derived from a marine multimineral product is bioavailable to a much greater extent than MgOi shows a similar profile to the more bioavailable MgCl₂ and may offer additional health benefits given its multimineral profile.

Due to the difficulty in achieving RDI for magnesium from food sources alone, supplements are increasingly being used. The quality of magnesium depends not only on its source, magnesium content in supplements, but also on its bioavailability – that is, the ability of the body to absorb and use magnesium. Magnesium oxide traditionally has the highest magnesium content of 60%, but also the lowest solubility, while at the other end of the table below magnesium chloride and magnesium sulfate have the highest solubility, but the lowest magnesium level. Magnesium hydroxide is an ideal balance with high magnesium levels and 50% higher solubility than magnesium oxide in water (0,009g/l vs 0,006g/l) . In addition, it is soluble in stomach acid, which allows absorption into the bloodstream. Indeed, magnesium oxide must be converted into magnesium hydroxide before dissolving in acid begins.

At Panacea Labs we believe that the more natural the product is, the better it is. That is why our Natural Marine Magnesium is a pure, natural form of magnesium hydroxide obtained from the ocean, containing a minimum of 33% magnesium derived from clean waters off the coast of Iceland. Sea Magnesium precipitates from seawater. Seawater contains about 3,5% dissolved salts, of which about 0,5% is soluble magnesium. Precipitated magnesium hydroxide is washed several times with fresh water and dried into a fine powder. About 500 tons of seawater are needed to produce 1 tonne of high-quality magnesium hydroxide.

Aquamin is a calcified species of red algae - dwarfs - "Lithothamnion" offering a unique marine multimineral complex. This natural, plant-based source provides bioactive calcium, magnesium and 72 trace elements.

Aquamin is derived from 100% seaweed, which absorbs trace minerals from the surrounding seawater. This form of absorption, combined with the unique structure of Aquamin, gives a product rich in minerals, which is neutral in taste, devoid of chalky consistency and easily absorbed by the human body.
