- contains a combination of omega 3, omega 6 and omega 9 in 1 capsule
- the product contains the addition of vitamin E with antioxidant activity [1] and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA)
- source of fatty acids are vegetable oils: linseed and borage and fish oil
ESSENSEY dietary supplement contains vitamin E, which, when taken regularly, helps protect cells from oxidative stress [1]
Vitamin E
Vitamin E helps protect cells against oxidative stress. [1] It is a fat-soluble vitamin that can protect polyunsaturated fatty acids ( m.in omega 3 and 6) in the cell membrane against oxidation. In the presence of vitamin E, peroxyl radicals react with α-tocopherol instead of lipid hydroperoxide, stopping the chain reaction of peroxyl radical production and preventing further oxidation of polyunsaturated fatty acids in the membrane [2]
Borage oil
Borage seed oil is characterized by a high content of gamma-linolenic acid, which belongs to the omega-6 group. [3] It gained popularity already in the first century AD. [4] Borage is considered a plant that supports joint mobility and flexibility. [5]
Fish oil
Omega-3 and omega-6 acids are essential for the proper functioning of the human body. The main source of acids
Omega-3 fatty acids are primarily “oily” sea fish (and oils produced from them), e.g. salmon, mackerel, tuna, herring, and seafood. [6] The most well-known omega-3 acids include eicosapentaenoic acid EPA and docosahexaenoic acid DHA.
Linseed oil
It is a rich source of α-linolenic acid (ALA), which belongs to the omega-3 group. Compared to others
oils available on the market, linseed oil is characterized by the highest content of omega-3 fatty acids and very
high content of unsaturated acids in relation to other ingredients. [8]

Types of polyunsaturated fatty acids
Polyunsaturated fatty acids in mammals have been found to belong to four families: omega-3 and -6, and omega-9 and -7. Omega-7 and -9 fatty acids can be synthesized by the mammalian body, while omega-3 and -6 fatty acids are exogenous and must be supplied with food. [7]
