NOW Foods L-cysteine contains as much as 500 mg of cysteine per tablet. L-cysteine is an important amino acid for the functioning of the body. It builds keratin, which is a protein that forms the skin, hair and nails. It also takes part in the production of collagen, thanks to which it improves the elasticity and structure of the skin. L-cysteine also creates a very powerful antioxidant - glutathione, which protects the liver and ensures its detoxification. The composition of the supplement has been enriched with vitamins C and B6.

Due to the fact that not always sufficient amounts of L-cysteine are produced in the body, it is necessary to supplement it. L-cysteine is recommended primarily for the elderly and people with vitamin B deficiencies. In addition, it is recommended to use it in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and atherosclerosis.
