Beta-Sitosterol from NOW Foods is a high-quality supplement with a beneficial health-promoting effect. It contains plant sterol esters CardioAid-S (a combination of Beta-sitosterol, campesterol and stigmasterol ester forms) and fish oil.
Vegetable sterols are compounds of plant origin. Structurally, they are similar to cholesterol, thanks to which they contribute to reducing the absorption of cholesterol from the digestive tract. CardioAid-S can therefore help maintain normal cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of cardiac problems. [1]
The supplement has been enriched with fish oil with omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA [1]. Omega-3 fish oils EPA and DHA are valuable polyunsaturated fatty acids for the body. Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) contribute to the proper functioning of the heart. DHA also affects the maintenance of normal brain function and vision. [2]
