S-Acetyl L-Glutathione from Jarrow is a high-quality supplement that supports the proper functioning of the body. It is an excellent source of glutathione in an acetylated form.

Each tablet provides 100 mg of S-acetyl L-glutathione. Preclinical studies suggest that S-acetyl-L-glutathione is more stable in the blood and increases glutathione levels in cells better than non-acetylated glutathione.

Glutathione is a small peptide molecule composed of three amino acids: cysteine, glutamic acid and glycine. It is produced by every cell of the body, with particularly high levels in the liver. Glutathione is essential for the proper functioning of the immune system and the proper detoxification process. Glutathione has a strong antioxidant effect, thanks to which it effectively protects cells from the destructive effects of free radicals. The antioxidant functions of glutathione also include regeneration and maintenance of other antioxidants m.in. vitamins E and C.
