JARROW FORMULAS MK-7 is a vitamin that has a beneficial effect on bones and the circulatory system.
Jarrow FORMULAS MK-7 contains vitamin K–MK-7 (menaquinone-7), from the extract of fermented natto soybeans. The product is produced by the fermentation process of Bacillus subtilis subsp. natto. MK-7 (menaquinone-7) is a bioactive form of vitamin K2 naturally found in Natto. MK-7 is 10 times better absorbed than K1 from spinach and is responsible for the carboxylation of specific bone proteins necessary for bone building. Vitamin K contributes to normal blood clotting. Vitamin K2 keeps calcium in the bones away from the arteries. Numerous clinical studies conducted in humans show that vitamin K plays a key role in maintaining normal bone density by supporting the transport of calcium from the bloodstream to the bone, helping to avoid atherosclerosis of blood vessels.
