✅ VITAMIN K2 MK-7

The term vitamin K does not refer to only one compound, but at least three main ones: vitamin K1 (phytomenadione), K2 (menaquinone) and K3 (menadione).

Due to differences in chemical structure, these vitamins are characterized by completely different biological activity, effectiveness and bioavailability, affecting their functioning in the body.

Vitamin K1 is poorly absorbed, because it is only 15% and is not stored in the liver.

Vitamin K3 is a synthetic, devoid of aliphatic side chain, analogue of vitamin K acting as a provitamin.

✔ Vitamin K2, which is the most desirable form, is used by the liver and redistributed by the blood throughout the body, making K2 readily available to extrahepatic tissues such as bones and walls of blood vessels.

Due to the fact that vitamin K2 is stored in the liver, it takes a long time before clinical symptoms of vitamin K2 deficiency occur due to its non-absorption in the intestines.

Vitamin K2 is a compound mainly created by bacteria in fermented products such as cheese, yoghurts, kefir, sauerkraut.

Vitamin K2 can be further divided into several different subtypes, but the most important are MK-4 and MK-7- which has the longest half-life in the body.

• contributes to normal blood clotting,
• helps maintain healthy bones.

✅ Vitamin D helps maintain healthy bones and teeth. It participates in the proper absorption and use of calcium and maintaining its normal level in the blood. In addition, it supports the functioning of the muscular and immune systems.
