Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric, it is a powerful antioxidant. The content of curcumin in turmeric is very low and amounts to about 3% of the dry mass of turmeric, which is why the Aliness® brand product contains a patented complex: Curcumin C3 Complex®, which is obtained from the dried rhizomes of Curcuma longa (turmeric) and standardized to a minimum content of 95% curcuminoids.
