What is good about magnesium bisglycinate?

Magnesium bisglycinate is an organic form of magnesium, which has the highest bioavailability (easily enters the body), thanks to the combination of magnesium with 2 molecules of the amino acid glycine. Glycine forms certain “ticks” that protect magnesium until it reaches the small intestine. The body releases and supports the effect of magnesium. In addition to meat and bone decoctions, glycine is also found in many food products, such as dairy products, fish, spinach, cabbage or legumes.

Magnesium bisglycinate, thanks to its sedative properties associated with the content of glycine, is suitable for use after training and in afternoon or evening hours for proper activity of the nervous system and muscles. What is buffered magnesium bisglycinate?

 

Magnesium bisglycinate itself is low in elemental magnesium and therefore German scientists have used the buffer effect of bisglycinate to change the pH in the small intestine, which allows to increase the absorption of otherwise less bioavailable oxide, which, however, has a high concentration of elemental magnesium. Thanks to this, high bioavailability of up to 80% and at the same time higher intake of elemental magnesium for the body (200 mg / 1 capsule / over 50% of the daily dose) was achieved. This advanced magnesium transport technology has been measured and proven in several studies [1,2]. The degree of absorption of buffered magnesium bisglycinate is the same as that of ordinary magnesium bisglycinate, but at the same weight at the dose of the body absorbs more magnesium in its buffered form. This means that at the same dose, almost 70% more elemental magnesium reaches the tissue for buffered bisglycinate than for regular bisglycinate.
