Arginine belongs to the group of relatively exogenous amino acids. This means that it can be synthesized in the body, however, in some situations its intracorporeal synthesis becomes insufficient and must be provided from other sources. This is mainly about physiological conditions such as weakness of the body, injuries and physical load. It is worth knowing that arginine is an alkaline amino acid.

Arginine is a natural substance belonging to the group of amino acids. It is found in everyday food, from dairy products to meat products and grains. It is also produced in our body, however, under special conditions, e.g. rapid growth or disease, its synthesis is insufficient. The amount of arginine found in the body largely depends on its intake with diet and then assimilation. It is found in both vegetable and animal proteins, with its content in dairy products being relatively small.

An interesting fact is that only 50% of the amino acid consumed is absorbed from the digestive tract into the blood. Arginine is not only a very important amino acid that nourishes our body; it also has many other beneficial properties. Takes m.in. participation in the synthesis of nitric oxide – a substance that dilates blood vessels, and thus affects the proper blood circulation in the body. It also facilitates the reach of blood to each cell, thus supporting the supply of nutrients and oxygen to their interior. Nitric oxide also increases human vitality. Arginine supports protein synthesis, can affect the secretion of growth hormone and insulin, which makes athletes often reach for this amino acid to increase lean body mass. It also supports the body’s cleansing processes by breaking down by-products derived from metabolic processes. It is a precursor of creatine, a compound necessary to produce a high-energy substance – phosphocreatine.

Arginine Plus provides as much as 500 mg of L-arginine in 1 tablet.
