L-carnosine (β-alyl-L-histidine)

L-carnosine is a compound made up of two amino acids, consisting of beta-alanine and histidine. It occurs naturally in the body – mainly in muscles, brain and kidneys, and its level depends on gender (higher level in men), age (decreases with age) as well as diet (low level in vegans and vegetarians). The important functions of carnosine in metabolic changes taking place in the body can be evidenced by the fact that in the case of muscles alone it can constitute up to 0,5% of their mass.

Ingredients: L-carnosine (β-alanyl-L-histidine), capsule shell: (binding substance: hydroxypropylcellulose).

Recommended daily intake: 1 capsule, three times a day, between meals. Do not exceed the recommended portion for consumption during the day.

L-carnosine is formed in the body as a result of synthesis from beta-alanine and histidine and undergoes continuous metabolic changes. Since the endogenous synthesis of carnosine decreases in age and is largely dependent on the availability of histidine – an amino acid found mainly in food of animal origin – deficiencies of this ingredient can occur especially in the elderly, as well as in people on a vegetarian or vegan diet.

The product Aliness L-Carnosine is especially recommended for athletes and physically active people who want to supplement the deficiencies of this ingredient that may appear with age, as well as vegans and vegetarians.

Aliness L-Carnosine does not contain any zoonotic ingredients, making it a suitable source of L-carnosine for vegans. The product does not contain any artificial additives, preservatives or dyes.
