Omega 3 triglycerides or esters?

The difference between triglycerides and omega esters is due to their chemical structure and bioavailability, which affects the way the body absorbs and uses them.

Choosing the right form of omega-3 supplementation (TG or EE) depends on individual needs, price and availability of raw material. Triglycerides are a natural form, better absorbed with high bioavailability, but more expensive and less available on the market. Triglycerides are compounds in which three fatty acid molecules (e.g. omega-3s are attached to one glycerol molecule. They occur naturally in most vegetable and animal fats and oils (e.g. in fish). Triglycerides are well recognized by digestive enzymes (lipases), so their absorption by the body is very effective. After digestion, fatty acids are released from glycerol, which allows them to be used as an energy source or building material.

Each capsule of Fish Omega-3 Forte Triglycerides provides as much as 750 mg of essential omega-3 fatty acids, including 500 mg of EPA and 250 mg of DHA.
