Pepsin - a proteolytic enzyme of gastric juice, formed from pepsinogen produced in the gastric mucosa. This reaction occurs only in an acidic environment.Pepsin used in the product is produced in the European Union, specifically the United Kingdom.

Betaina - contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism. The beneficial effect occurs when consuming 1,5 g. of betaine per day. The source of betaine are also wheat germ or beets.

Betaine, or trimethylglycine, was first discovered in sugar beets, and its name comes from the Latin name (Beta Vulgaris). It is an organic chemical compound that belongs to the great group of betaine. TMG is a derivative of glycine – the simplest protein amino acid, which is part of the group of 20 standard protein amino acids. Its form is a white, crystalline powder with a melting point of about 240oC, non-toxic even at high concentrations, perfectly soluble in water, and in the stomach resembles the action of hydrochloric acid (HCL). Hydrochloric acid (HCL) in the stomach is naturally produced and used to digest foods as long as the stomach is working properly.
