Solgar Evening Primrose Oil

Two-year evening primrose oil is an excellent source of unsaturated fatty acids: linolenic (LA, approx. 73%) and linolenic gamma (GLA, approx. 9%) . A similar composition of these fractions is rarely found in nature and valued in the prevention of health and treatment of many diseases.

Providing the body with ready-made GLA in many cases is very important. Gamma-linolenic acid plays a very important role as an anti-inflammatory substance. The use of evening primrose oil allows the body to improve lipid metabolism by supplementing gamma-linolenic acid deficiency without the conversion of linoleic acid.

Contained in evening primrose oillinoleic acid (LA) is the so-called. exogenous acid, which means that the body does not produce it on its own and it must be supplied to the body together with the diet as an essential nutrient. Linoleic acid has a positive effect especially on the skin
