Have you ever wondered what liquid, hot chocolate could sound like if it could have its dimension in the world of musical experiences? Well, this is another tube amplifier by Pier Audio, which presents this line of music, full of taste and sophistication show based on "sonic cocoa".

Pier Audio engineers, who created the MS-84 SE amplifier, did not rest on the proverbial laurels and during the construction of the next project they did not stop “chasing” the chocolate sound straight from the EL84 tubes. This is how Pier Audio MS-84 SE MK2 was created.

The design of this device is based on the implementation of a dual PUSH-PULL system based on the already mentioned EL84 lamps (2 pieces per channel). The MS-84 SE MK2 Audio Pier generates 15W of power per channel (at 8 Ohms), and its construction is an even neater design than the MS-84 SE. It has smaller dimensions, especially in depth (i.e. Only 25 cm, compared to as much as 40 cm in MS-84SE). This will probably appeal to those of you who do not have too much space on their audio tables or prefer the compact dimensions of the equipment. Regardless of the external dimensions, Pier Audio MS-84 SE MK2 is a fairly serious competitor of many larger structures on the market, which weighs not much as 15 kg. Therefore, it is not a toy, but a well-thought-out and made product, and in addition at an absolutely unbeatable price.

However, this is not the biggest advantage of the Pier Audio MS-84 SE MK2, but its sound qualities, which, although they provide power at the level of 15 watts (MS-84 SE 20 watt), present an even more tube character than the aforementioned predecessor. This is mainly because the 5Z4P rectifier lamp is used in the design of the power supply of this amplifier. This has created the opportunity to work EL84 lamps in a completely different environment, which can bring out even more "chocolate" character.

Pier Audio MS-84 SE MK2 makes even better use of the advantages of the EL84 lamp, and above all its juicy colors in the sphere of musical information, which in this project are even more tangible. And here, too, the proper exemplification of what this device can do requires a return to the chocolate analogy. Well, the unusual volume of multi-level, even more colorful and weighted bass can be compared to the best quality cocoa, dark chocolate, while the convex, tangible, incredibly penetrating and sweet midrange brings our musical taste into the world of delicious milk chocolate, and thanks to the use of a rectifying lamp we can also feel the delicate scent of musical vanilla. The firm, subtle and liquid “top” of the strand evokes aromatic and delicate white chocolate, but its taste is now even more alluring and noble. You just have to taste it! For maximum simplification of the audio track and thus maximizing the audio experience, Pier Audio engineers decided to use only two analog RCA inputs and one Bluetooth to increase the functionality of the device.

Paired with a very seductive, warm and multi-layered sound goes, as in all devices of this brand, excellent current performance of the amplifier, which will easily control the vast majority of loudspeakers on the market. This is not just an amplifier for stand speakers. Pier Audio MS-84 SE MK2 without much "shortness" will drive even large floor speakers. Using this wonderful chocolate analogy, you can say that with this amplifier you will never complain about the lack of “musical chocolate” at home.

Included with the amplifier, the manufacturer also provides a lamp grille (CE standard) and a pair of white material gloves that are useful when replacing lamps.
