Method of use

Preparations:

Wash your hands with warm water and soap before obtaining blood. Hands should be dried well. This will prevent the injection site from getting dirty and improve blood flow.

Insertion of lancet:

To use the lancet to obtain blood, you must first insert a lancet.

• Remove the cap from the lancet
• Put a new lancet in the lancet holder
• Unscrew the protective cap from the lancet
• Reapply the cap. The notch for the cap and the line for the cap on the lancet must lie in line. The cap must clearly "surprise"

Depth of puncture setting:

You can set 11 puncture depths (0,5 to 5,5). Set to the puncture depth, it is visible in the control window. The higher the number, the deeper the puncture. In the absence of experience with this lancing device, it is recommended to set a smaller puncture depth, e.g. puncture depth. By turning the cap, set the desired puncture depth.

Pulling of the lancet:

To be able to obtain blood, you need to pull the lancer. Press the pull button all the way down. Do not press the release button at the same time. The lancet is stretched if the center of the release button is yellow. The lancet should be stretched only immediately before obtaining blood.

Getting a drop of blood:

Blood can be obtained from virtually any finger of the hand. However, some fingers may not be suitable, for example in the case of skin or nail infections. We recommend obtaining capillary blood from the side of the fingertip, because the puncture in this place is less painful.

• Firmly press the lancet to the selected injection
• Press the release button. This triggers the lancet and punctures the skin
• Massage your finger towards your fingertip to facilitate the formation of blood drops.

The amount of blood that appears at the puncture site depends on the puncture depth setting, as well as the pressure exerted when pressing the lancet against the skin. If the amount of blood obtained is too small, the skin puncture should be repeated, this time exerting more pressure. If the amount of blood obtained is still insufficient, the puncture action should be repeated, gradually increasing the depth of the puncture. If an excessive amount of blood appears, the puncture depth should be reduced. Measure blood glucose according to the instructions for use of your blood glucose meter immediately after obtaining blood. We recommend shielding the puncture site to protect against dirt.

Release of lancet used:

• Remove the cap from the lancet
• Move the lancet release forward

The used lancet is extended.

• Reapply the cap
• After use, lancets should be discarded in accordance with local regulations

Remove used lancets so that it is excluded to cut yourself against lancet blades.
