Remote access to servers from anywhere

PLANET offers the ideal enterprise-class 8-port KVM switch for enterprise server rooms and test centers. With its innovative IP technology, PLANET has transformed traditional KVM switches into real network devices. IKVM-210-08 captures, digitizes and compresses the video signal and then transmits it along with the keyboard and mouse signals over the IP network. Multiple remote locations can simultaneously monitor the same PC server.

Support for multiple operating systems

IKVM-210-08 is the most cost-effective and simple solution for controlling a group of PCs on your network. Multiple computers can be managed directly by a single set of monitor, keyboard and mouse. No software drivers or system configuration are required. iMac, Power Mac and Sun systems are also supported.

Combination of keys on the remote control

You can set multiple key combinations in the IKVM series. When you open the IKVM software on a remote client, you can use these key combinations to control local computers with another operating system over the Internet.

Switching computers

There are three convenient methods to access any computer connected to the installation:

• Port Selection Button
• Keyboard shortcuts on the keyboard
• OSD (screen display) on local and remote clients

Perceptual LED Display

You can check the status of your computer on the front LED IKVM-210-08. "Red" indicates that the computer is connected to the corresponding port, and "Green" indicates that the computer connected to the corresponding port has focus.

Security protection

Two-tier password protection entitles only one user and administrator with a separate profile for each user. Data encryption options include AES, DES, and 3DES, and can be selected for keyboard, mouse, and video signals.

Powerful mouse/keyboard support

In current computer applications, the mouse has become an essential device. The IKVM-210-08 fully supports all PS/2 mouse models on the market. KVM also supports the PS/2 keyboard port in the 1/2/3 code set, allowing it to be used for all types of servers, computers or combinations thereof.
