The Sanity® RBP 1200 blood pressure monitor for children is a medical device for measuring blood pressure in children. This is the first automatic blood pressure monitor on the Polish market designed for the youngest, because the method of measurement used takes into account the specificity of blood pressure in children.

It is equipped with appropriately small cuffs, the sizes of which are adapted to the circumference of the hand of the youngest patients: 15-18 cm and 18-22 cm. The device uses an innovative split cuff system () Duo Control Cuff Technology (DCC). Each cuff is constructed of 2 parts: upper (larger) and lower (smaller) air chamber, filled separately, with separate air lines. The upper cuff works as standard, causing pressure on the arm, while the lower chamber serves as a stethoscope for detecting pulse waves. Pressure measurement is carried out between heartbeats, using multiple sensors inside the cuff. Designed for children aged 3-12 years.

This method provides very accurate readings and is extremely delicate, which is especially important for children. The blood pressure monitor has a friendly animal shape, which makes it more attractive and facilitates calm measurement.

1. In order to obtain the correct results, it is necessary to take care of the correct posture of the child. It is best for the child to sit stably, e.g. on a chair, with feet laid flat on the floor and an arm placed on the table. It is important that when measuring, the child is calm, without moving or speaking.
2. Put the cuff on as shown above – on the left or right arm of the child, depending on the doctor’s recommendations. The lower part of the cuff should be ok. 1 cm above the elbow, and the cuff and heart should be at the same level.
3. After pressing the “START/STOP” button, the cuff will start to be filled with air. After the measurement is completed, the air will be quickly drained from the cuff. Blood pressure and heart rate will be displayed and the device will automatically record the result.
