Robust features for industrial Ethernet networks with Plug and Play configuration
Designed for demanding industrial environments, the new IFGS-1022TF from PLANET is equipped with 8 high-density 10/100BASE-TX ports, 2 additional gigabit copper/SFP combo interfaces and a redundant power system. The switch has robust features designed for industrial Ethernet networks, and its configuration is easy thanks to Plug and Play technology. With a rugged yet compact IP30-rated enclosure, the device can operate stably in the temperature range of -40 to 75 degrees C and can be installed in any harsh environment without space constraints.
Two gigabit uplink ports
The IFGS-1022TF has two additional gigabit TP/SFP combo ports that allow network administrators to increase network bandwidth and reduce traffic when two 10/100/1000BASE-T uplink ports are used to connect devices such as NVR, video streaming server, NAS and more. With a combo design, administrators can easily connect network devices, no matter how large the network expansion is.
Flexibility and expandability over long distances
With two gigabit-speed shared SFP fiber ports, the device can also be combined with a 1000BASE-SX/LX SFP (small form-factor pluggable) fiber optic transceiver to connect to a backbone switch and long-distance monitoring center. The distance can be increased from 550 meters (multimode fiber) to 10/20/30/40/50/60/70/120 kilometers (single-mode fiber or WDM). They are perfect for industrial data center and distribution applications.
Environmental resistant design
With IP30 aluminum industrial housing, the IFGS-1022TF provides a high level of resistance to electromagnetic interference and strong electrical surges that usually occur in factory halls or curbside traffic control cabinets without air conditioning. With the ability to operate in the temperature range from -40 to 75 degrees C, the IFGS-1022TF can be placed in almost any harsh environment.
Robust protection
The IFGS-1022TF provides ±6KV DC contact discharges and ±6KV DC air discharges for ESD Ethernet protection. It also supports ±6KV surge resistance to increase product stability and protects user networks from devastating ESD attacks, ensuring that workflows do not fluctuate.
Energy savings
Integrated with advanced green grid technologies and IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) protocol, the IFGS-1022TF is capable of delivering energy savings of up to 50% while maintaining high performance.
Energy savings in Link Down mode
Link Down goes beyond IEEE specifications and automatically reduces the power consumption of a port when it is not connected. With Link Down energy-saving technology, the IFGS-1022TF automatically adjusts the power consumption of ports that are turned off or not connected to a network device.
Intelligent power scale based on cable length
Intelligent power scale is an intelligent algorithm that actively determines the appropriate level of power based on the length of the cable. When the IFGS-1022TF is connected to an Ethernet cable shorter than 20m, the device can achieve maximum energy savings because the IFGS-1022TF will automatically detect the length of the Ethernet cable and reduce power consumption. The connected device can significantly reduce the total energy consumption, which greatly contributes to energy savings.
