Solid Layer 2 features

The GS-2210-24T2S can be programmed for basic switch management functions such as port speed configuration, port aggregation, VLAN, bandwidth control and IGMP snooping. The switch provides VLAN protocol functions with 802.1Q tags. With support for port aggregation, the GS-2210-24T2S enables high-speed trunking connected to multiple ports, and also supports failover. In addition, the included Layer 2 protocol helps detect basic information about adjacent devices in your local broadcast domain.

Flexibility and expandability over long distances

The two mini-GBIC slots built into the GS-2210-24T2S support automatic SFP detection and dual speed, as they are equipped with 100BASE-FX and 1000BASE-SX/LX SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) fiber optic transceivers for connecting to the backbone switch and long-distance monitoring center. The distance can be increased from 550 meters to 2 kilometers (multimode fiber) and to more than 10/20/30/40/50/70/120 kilometers (single-mode fiber or WDM fiber). They are well suited for use in enterprise data centers and distributions.

Convenient and intelligent ONVIF devices with detection function

PLANET recently developed an amazing feature - ONVIF Support - that has been specifically designed to work with IP video surveillance. From the graphical interface, the GS-2210-24T2S is just one click away to search for and display all ONVIF devices via a web application. In addition, you can open the camera website via an IP address link to get real-time monitoring information and online/offline status of the IP-based camera with the GS-2210-24T2S GUI.
