How the device works:

• Water softening involves removing the components that cause hardness from water. This process involves the exchange of calcium and magnesium ions (responsible for water hardness) for sodium ions and occurs as water flows through the ion exchange resin. When the ion exchange capacity of the bed is exhausted, it is subjected to a regeneration process using a brine solution.
