Eventually, customers started asking about headphones with a blue dot and so the new name Blaupunkt was adopted. The symbol of quality became a trademark, and in 1938 also the name of the company. 100 years of automotive history are also years of technical inventions of Blaupunkt. In 1932, Ideal produced Europe’s first car radio – the Blaupunkt AS 5, which became the foundation for the development of modern car audio systems.
