Description

Raspberry Pi Touch Display 2 in 5-inch version is an LCD screen with capacitive touch panel, designed to work with Raspberry Pi boards from model 1B+ up (except for Zero series and 400/500, which do not have a DSI connector). The display operates in vertical orientation with 90°, 180° or 270° rotation, allowing for flexible adjustment to projects requiring both portrait and landscape modes. The 720× 1280 pixel resolution and 24-bit color palette ensure readability and high image quality. Support for five touch points at the same time allows full interaction with the system in multitouch mode, including scrolling, dragging, long hold and using the on-screen keyboard.

The screen is powered directly from the Raspberry Pi via the GPIO connector, without the need for a separate power supply. Communication for image and touch transmission is carried out via the DSI interface using FFC cables adapted to the specific model of the board (15-pin to 15-pin for most models and 22-pin to 15-pin for Raspberry Pi 5). The included mounting hardware allows you to directly screw the Raspberry Pi to the back of the display, which allows you to create a compact set in the form of a tablet, control panel, multimedia center or interactive information board.

Configuration of touch and display settings is carried out through Raspberry Pi OS system files. It is possible to reverse the touch axis, change the X and Y axis, change the logical resolution and turn off the touch panel. The display is supported directly by the Raspberry Pi OS Bookworm system and later, without the need to install additional drivers.
