JRC is a company founded in Essex in the early nineties. It was founded by a group of friends: Jeff Powell, David Rudlin, John Campbell and William Jelbart. Originally, it focused on the production of practical carp beds – the biggest hit of the brand at that time was the light, low-level Cocoon model. The offer was gradually expanded; the breakthrough came in 2000, when more specialized products were introduced (refreshed version of beds, STI Brolly fishing tent and Quad and Skyliner rods). In 2007, Shakespeare took over the company, incorporated it into Pure Fishing’s portfolio, and moved its headquarters to Worcestershire and finally to Alnwick.
