Kataba 265mm Japanese Kataba Saw - equivalent to a European crosscut saw

Saw with universal teeth - ideal for crosscuts, rip cuts, and angled cuts. Designed for cutting wood and wood-based materials. The Kataba with a straight handle is excellent for deep cuts and for precise joinery cuts like tenons and dovetails. Impulse-hardened teeth provide 3 times longer life and sharpness compared to traditional saws.

Dozuki 240mm Saw - equivalent to a European backsaw. This is a standard, very popular dozuki model with a steel spine for better rigidity and precision. Fine teeth and a thin blade create a very narrow kerf (0.45mm!) recommended wherever accuracy and straight cuts are required. The metal spine ensures excellent stability during cutting, reduces the risk of blade breakage or bending, but also limits the cutting depth. An excellent saw for making shallow cuts, especially recommended for joinery, tenons, dovetail joints, and precise notches.

As with all Japanese saws, cutting occurs only when pulling the saw towards you. This allows Japanese saws to have thinner, lighter, and smoother blades, resulting in faster cutting.
