This compact device will allow you to quickly transfer files to any disk and virtually maintenance-free clone data carriers with SATA interface. Fast USB 3.0 connectivity will allow you to speed up the file transfer process as much as possible, and an external power supply will ensure stable operation of the device.

Two modes of operation

The Silver Monkey DC-001-SM docking station can operate in two modes: device and cloning. In device mode, you place the drive in the docking station and then connect it with a USB cable to your computer for convenient transfer and download of files from the drive. Cloning mode, on the other hand, allows you to copy content from one drive to another without the involvement of a computer. Simply place the source disk and target disk in the pockets of the Silver Monkey DC-001-SM station, press the dedicated button and wait for the cloning process to complete. You will be informed about its status by a color LED indicator.

Compatibility and speed

Silver Monkey DC-001-SM features a high-speed USB 3.0 interface, backwards compatible with USB 2.0, so you can connect it to any computer running Windows 7/macOS 10.9/Linux 2.2 or later. The station has two slots for SATA III drives in 3,5" and 2,5" formats, and at the same time easily supports both solid-state SSDs and classic HDDs.
