Information on water resistance and rules of use of Zeblaze watches

Dear Customer,

Thank you for choosing the Zeblaze watch. In order for the device to maintain its efficiency and declared water resistance for as long as possible, it is necessary to follow the rules of its use and maintenance.

What is water resistance?

The water resistance class determines the resistance of the watch to water penetration in laboratory conditions. Tests are performed at a certain static pressure. In everyday use, the tightness of the device is also affected by hand movement, temperature, water jet pressure, gasket condition and age of the device.

It should be remembered that water resistance is not a permanent feature – over time, seals are subject to natural wear.

The most common water resistance classes

IP67

• resistance to dust,

• resistance to short-term immersion in clean water,

• is not intended for swimming or bathing.

IP68

• high resistance to dust,

• possibility of short-term immersion according to the manufacturer’s specifications,

• it is not recommended to swim, jump into water or use hot water unless the manufacturer expressly allows such use.

3 ATM (30 m)

• washing hands,

• rain,

• accidental splashes,

• not suitable for swimming or bathing.

5 ATM (50 m)

• daily contact with water,

• rain,

• washing hands,

• usually permissible swimming in calm water, if the manufacturer provides for such a possibility for a given model, (information about the possibility of use in water must be given in the instruction manual directly, please read the instruction manuals of the model in detail)

• is not intended for diving, jumping into water or water sports causing high pressure.

10 ATM (100 m)

Manufacturer's recommendations for use

To maintain the tightness of the device:

• do not press the buttons or rotate the lace when in contact with water,

• do not use the watch in the sauna, steam room or jacuzzi,

• avoid contact with hot water and sudden changes in temperature,

• after contact with sea or chlorinated water, rinse the watch thoroughly with clean water and dry with a soft cloth,

• do not allow the device to come into contact with detergents, cosmetics, solvents and chemicals,

• regularly clean the envelope and strap with a soft, slightly damp cloth.

Maintenance

Seals age naturally. Their durability depends on the intensity of use, ambient temperature and frequency of contact with water.

Manufacturer recommends:

• avoiding unnecessary exposure of the device to extreme conditions,

• control of the technical condition of the watch in case of frequent use in water,

• discontinue use of the device in water if you notice fogging of the display or other signs of loss of tightness.

Important information

Water resistance does not mean full resistance to all types of contact with water. The tightness of the device may be limited by:

• mechanical damage,

• wear of seals,

• impact,

• high temperature,

• chemicals,

• improper use.
