Hoco Y108 is a smartwatch created so that the parent always knows where the child is and can contact him at any time. It combines GPS location, 4G calls with video, SOS button and waterproof case in one easy-to-use wrist device. It’s a real safety tool — not a toy.

The watch uses triple positioning: GPS (outdoor), LBS (mobile network base stations) and WiFi (inside buildings). This lets you know where your child is, even when they are at school, in the pool or in the mall, where GPS itself loses accuracy. You can check the current position at any time in the SeTracker2 application (Android and iOS).

The SOS button allows the child to send an alarm to the parent in an emergency with one hold - simple, without panic.

The watch supports the 4G FDD-LTE network (and 2G GSM as a backup), which allows for real voice and video calls — directly from the wrist, without having to give the child a smartphone. The built-in camera allows both video calls and taking photos. The watch requires a nanoSIM card (not included) – so it works regardless of the child’s or parent’s phone.

Using the free SeTracker2 parent app:

Do I need a SIM card to operate the watch?

Yes. The Y108 supports 4G FDD-LTE (and 2G backup), so a nanoSIM card with an active data packet is required for calls, video calls and location transmission. The card is not included in the set – you need to choose an offer from any operator (a small data package is enough, the watch does not consume much transfer).

Does the use of SeTracker2 apply in connection with the subscription?

No, the app is free. The only fixed cost is a SIM card with a data packet on the child’s phone — actually in the watch itself.

How much does it actually work on battery?

With normal use (several calls, location checks), the watch lasts 1 to 2 days on a single charge. This is typical for this category of devices – the watch constantly connects to 4G and GPS networks, which burdens the battery more than a regular smartwatch. It is worth charging it every night, just like the phone.

Does the location also work in buildings, e.g. at school?

Yes – thanks to the triple GPS + LBS + WiFi positioning, the watch maintains reasonable accuracy even in rooms where GPS alone would fail.

Is the watch suitable for swimming or showering?

No. The IPX7 standard protects against rain and splashes, but it is not a watch for swimming or bathing – it is worth taking it off before entering the water.

From what age will this watch work?

It works best for children of early school age and older who can operate the touch screen on their own and understand the principle of SOS button operation.

Can a parent control who the child is talking to?

Yes. The contact list is fully managed from the application by the parent – the child cannot add new numbers on his own.
